Beeswax Candle Making

Working with Beeswax smells so divine! And their are so many health benefits to using beeswax in the home compared to commercial candles which have high toxicity and can siliently effect your health! Beeswax actually helps clean the air, and attaches to dust reducing dust particles in the home... Seriously I need a thousand lol.

There is something so beautiful working with beeswax. Knowing the bees have worked so tirlessly scouting the lands and returned to their hive and honeycombs to build their families abundance, health and wealth. 

The sheets we work with are 100% beeswax from Hornsby NSW and we use cotton wicks no aliminium bases. So healthy candles all round with HUGE gratitude to the bees.

For the tapers, this is a an ancient practice, with only 1 or 2 still doing it the traditional way commercially for the catholic churches etc. We will make what is known as prayer candles, but they wont be as long sorry. I am on the look out for a larger double boiler. The process creates 2 tapers at a time with many breaks for the wax to set. 

We get to have all this fun while sharing a delicious meal and some bottled spring water! And you take home 2 different sized rolled candles. 1 plain and you can have some fun adding crystals or botanicals to the other. We will make 2 larger, thicker tapers you could use for romantic dining, and 6 smaller prayer style candles perfect for birthday cakes. The wax evaporates, doesnt drip! Unless wind or added obsticles like botanicals and crystal. Otherwise it completely burns away.
